
The FBI, in collaboration with local Aurora police, is on the hunt for a man accused of robbing a Fifth Third Bank this past Monday afternoon. According to a report by FOX 32 Chicago, the incident occurred around 2:26 p.m. at the bank's 2998 Ogden Avenue location. Descriptions of the suspect align across sources, noting he is a Black man in his late 20s or early 30s and between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet tall.
The man was reportedly dressed in a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and brown work boots, while also wearing sunglasses. He is said to have demanded cash from the bank teller before fleeing on foot, and the amount of money he absconded with has not been disclosed by the authorities. CBS News Chicago adds that during the robbery, he was carrying a plastic grocery bag.
While the suspect remains at large, officials have confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the bank robbery. The FBI has issued a call for public assistance in locating the individual.
