
Authorities in Joliet are on the look for a man who robbed a BMO bank branch this Monday. The incident occurred at the branch on 78 N. Chicago St. in the heart of downtown at approximately 1:53 p.m., as reported by FOX 32 Chicago. A note was given to a teller demanding money, after which the suspect fled with an undisclosed sum of cash.
According to the details provided by the police, no weapons were brandished during the robbery and thankfully, no one was harmed. The suspect has been described as a Black male, with a height between 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 and a heavier build. At the time of the robbery, he was seen wearing a black zip-up sweater, dark pants, and white shoes. This description was also confirmed by WJOL.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken the lead on this case, working in conjunction with the Joliet Police Department to piece together the events and identify the perpetrator. As it stands, no news has surfaced regarding the progress of the investigation, and the authorities have kept details close to their chest.
