Mayor Pineda announced the completion of over 150,000 square feet of new industrial space and the start of two data center projects. The mayor outlined plans for new parks, an aquatic center, and a $15.8 million project to replace Fire Station #171 to improve public safety and services, as reported by the City of Avondale.
At an Avondale event, Sardinha Brazilian Jiu Jitsu received the Green Business Award and the Leading Edge People’s Choice Award for sustainability and community involvement. Mercy House was recognized for its service, and Avondale Toyota earned the Heart of the Community Award for its local engagement. Mayor Pineda spoke about the collaboration between the City Council, businesses, and residents, emphasizing education's role in workforce development.
