
The search for Charles Raymond Tice, an 85-year-old man from Barnesville, Georgia, has now entered a critical new phase, following a grim discovery. According to a press release by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), human remains were found in Lamar County on Saturday. Tice had been missing since March 2025, and the discovery has led to a pivot in the ongoing investigation.
The GBI, working alongside the Lamar County Sheriff's Office, has been diligent in their efforts to properly locate and identify Tice since his disappearance. With the finding of the remains, the body is now set to be taken to the GBI Crime Lab for identification and an autopsy, in hopes of bringing some closure to this case. The Lamar County Sheriff's Office and the GBI have called upon the community to possibly help fill in the blanks regarding Tice's disappearance and have provided various avenues for the public to share any information they might have.
