For those who were planning to spend part of their Easter weekend honing their marksmanship skills, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has just rolled out some news: the Bodcau and Woodworth Shooting Ranges will be taking a break in observance of the upcoming holidays. As it was reported by LDWF, both locations will remain closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Sunday, April 20.
With Easter bunnies hopping and eggs hidden, the ranges will give staff time off to enjoy the holiday with their families, according to the LDWF announcement. The Bodcau Shooting Range at 168 Ben Durden Road in Benton will resume normal hours on Saturday. Similarly, the Woodworth Shooting Range at 661 Robinson Bridge Road will follow the same holiday schedule.
For shooters who've marked their calendars, it's important to remember that access to these LDWF shooting ranges isn't just a walk in the park. There's a need for either a WMA Access Permit, a Senior Hunting/Fishing License, Louisiana Sportsman’s Paradise License, or a Lifetime Hunting/Fishing License, as per the LDWF.
