In an effort to foster community engagement, officers from Boston's District E-18 partnered with Building Pathways to hold a networking event aimed at introducing local residents to potential career opportunities within the city, particularly focusing on law enforcement roles.
The recent gathering, which welcomed individuals 18 and over, served as a platform for the Boston Police Department to share insights into the civil service process and to discuss the Boston Police Cadet Program.
At the event, participants learned from current officers about their experiences and how to join the force. Officers explained the civil service process, including the test, background check, and other requirements, to clear up any confusion about recruitment. The Boston Police Department encourages interested individuals to visit bpdnews.com/joinbpd to learn more and begin the application process.
