The Brookline Police Department is turning to the public in a bid to identify a person of interest, potentially linked to a recent shoplifting incident. On their official Facebook page, the department posted an image of an individual who may have been involved in an event that occurred on April 18, along Beacon Street – a broad avenue often bustling with energy that's reminiscent of Brookline's community spirit.
The call for assistance details a description of the suspect as a white male, standing somewhere between 5'06" and 5'08", of average build, topped with a gray beard. He was last seen sporting a black hat and a gray hoodie emblazoned with the Patriots logo, coupled with jeans, a black backpack, and white sneakers. It's in these plain, everyday garments, that the suspect blends into the populace – evading notice.
Community involvement in aiding law enforcement can play a crucial role, and as such, detectives are urging anyone with information about the individual in question to step forward. "If you recognize this individual, detectives are asking you contact them at 617.730.2613," the Facebook post specifically requested.
