Brooklyn Park is teaming up with Tree Trust to give residents a chance to green their neighborhoods through a tree sale initiative designed to enhance local landscapes and boost environmental quality. On May 3, 2025, residents who pre-ordered will be able to pick up their trees between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Park Operations and Maintenance building, according to the City of Brooklyn Park's announcement.

As part of this community initiative, residents can purchase up to three trees per household at a reduced cost of $40 per tree. Orders must be placed between March 3 and April 11, 2025, and trees are intended to be planted only on private property within Brooklyn Park to ensure the benefits stay local.

To participate, residents are encouraged to read the Tree Sale FAQ and will need to create a Shopify customer account to complete their purchase. For those who prefer to pay by check, arrangements can be made by calling 651-358-0488.

The city notes that the trees do not come with a warranty. Refunds will not be issued for trees that aren’t picked up during the designated window or those that die after pickup. Additionally, large shade trees should be planted at least 15 feet away from buildings and power lines, with east and west placements encouraged for energy efficiency.

On pickup day, volunteers will assist with loading trees, which can weigh between 20 and 40 pounds. Evergreen trees will stand around 3 to 4 feet tall, while shade trees will range from 5 to 8 feet tall. This initiative not only gives residents an affordable way to beautify their properties but also contributes to Brooklyn Park’s ongoing efforts to foster a more sustainable and vibrant community.
