The City of Casa Grande is deeply saddened today, following a fatal incident involving the city's senior adult transportation service. As reported by the City of Casa Grande's official statement, the accident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. near the intersection of Amarillo Street and 3rd Street, claiming the life of a local community member.
Details surrounding the collision remain scarce, but it is known that a city staff member was behind the wheel, ferrying patrons back to their respective homes when the mishap took place. First responders, including teams from the Casa Grande Fire and Police departments, were quickly dispatched to the scene. An investigation was mounted immediately by the local authorities; however, it has now been handed over to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) for a more thorough examination.
