Chandler commuters can expect delays near Alma School Road, where eastbound Ray Road has been reduced to one lane due to an emergency sewer repair. The lane reduction—from three lanes to one—will remain in effect until Wednesday evening, according to the City of Chandler.
The emergency repair was prompted over the weekend after a sewer line was damaged during the installation of private utilities in the area. City crews quickly restored wastewater service to affected residents, but work continues to backfill, compact, and repave the roadway.
Until the repairs are completed, traffic congestion is likely. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time or use alternate routes. The city expects the road to fully reopen by Wednesday evening, provided the work proceeds on schedule.
