Downtown Detroit is again the spot for food lovers starting next Monday, as the Downtown Street Eats food truck rally returns to Cadillac Square and the Woodward Esplanade. Organized by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, food trucks, carts, and local restaurant pop-ups will serve a variety of cuisines from April 7 through October 10, with lunch available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. According to ClickOnDetroit, the season will see more than 80 trucks and carts rotating to feed an estimated crowd of thousands daily.

The kick-off week schedule features an array of food vendors. As reported by The Detroit News, Monday will welcome Gambino's Catering and The Great Greek Food Truck, followed by Big Bo's Grill, National Eats, and others on Tuesday. Wednesday presents Hero or Villain, Smoke Ring BBQ, and more, while Thursday boasts a diverse lineup with Sonny's Hamburgers and The Lobster Food Truck, among others. Clara's Place and Hero or Villain will round out the week on Friday.

Laura Dean, director of parks and public spaces for the Downtown Detroit Partnership, emphasized the enthusiasm for the new season, stating, "Each year, our Downtown Detroit Street Eats program brings something new and exciting to the table." As detailed by MI Foodie Adventures, Dean elaborated on supporting local entrepreneurs and creating a vibrant lunchtime destination "where Detroiters and visitors can gather, discover new flavors, and enjoy the city's energy."
