The California Highway Patrol's Dublin Area office requests the public's help locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that damaged a CHP patrol car. The event unfolded last Saturday, according to a recent social media post by CHP Dublin. The patrol car was struck by a suspect vehicle on I-580 eastbound, just west of Santa Rita Road, while officers were handling another unrelated crash around 11:34 pm.
Authorities have described the suspected vehicle as a silver or gold four-door sedan, likely from the mid-2000s, with some damage noticeable on the right side. Struck by another vehicle, the officers were thankfully not reported to be injured but now face the issue of tracking down the absent suspect.
