In a decisive strike against illegal drug activity and gun violence, the Fall River Police Department orchestrated a coordinated bust yesterday, resulting in six arrests and a significant seizure of firearms and cocaine. According to an announcement posted on the City of Fall River Police Department's social media, the raids targeted hotspots for repeat violent offenders and took place across two specific locations—Father Diaferio Village and Blackstone Street.
The successful operation was the fruit of an intensive intelligence-gathering effort that spanned several weeks, culminating in the arrest of six individuals now facing various charges including multiple firearm-related offenses and possession of Class B & C drugs the details of those arrests include Mason Blake, Arjaray Lewis-Holloway, Luanda Lewis, an unidentified juvenile already under house arrest for a prior firearm possession, Tarsha Sousa, and Marteze Taylor.
Unhesitatingly, the Fall River authorities emphasized the impact of this raid, declaring this is what real collaboration and commitment to community safety look like. Amongst those apprehended were individuals allegedly involved in the trafficking of more than 100 grams of cocaine, boosting the significance of the operation in curbing not just local violence, but also the flow of controlled substances.
