More than 200 workers at FedEx's Lebanon, Tennessee, location are set to lose their jobs in the coming weeks, the company has confirmed. An official WARN notice submitted to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development indicates a total of 217 employees will be affected by the permanent layoffs, as reported by WREG.

FedEx gave notice that the layoffs are scheduled to take place between May 9 and May 30, 2025, as cited by Action News 5. The action has been deemed necessary due to FedEx Supply Chain no longer providing services for an unidentified customer in Lebanon, a move which FedEx says will result to ultimately shut down the 6850 Eastgate Blvd. facility's operations this spring, according to a statement obtained by the Memphis Business Journal.

The FedEx Supply Chain's Lebanon facility, which ranks as the sixth-largest employer in Wilson County with over 1,100 employees, was acquired by FedEx in 2015 and became a direct subsidiary in 2024. It provides a range of logistics services, including warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and other supply chain solutions.
