Two former Brevard County educators were charged in connection with an incident involving underage drinking at a house party. As WESH reported, Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan and Karly Anderson faced a variety of charges stemming from a January party where Cocoa Beach police documented alcohol consumption by minors.
Hill-Brodigan, the former principal of Roosevelt Elementary School, is accused of hosting the gathering that saw attendance from a substantial number of minors who reportedly engaged in alcohol consumption. Held at her residence, the party involved more than 100 juveniles, according to ClickOrlando. Anderson, who taught third grade at the same institution, was present as a guest and allegedly exhibited disorderly behavior.
Confronted with the weight of the law, Hill-Brodigan bears the brunt as she is charged with one count of child neglect, five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and one count of holding an open house party. The gravity of these accusations carries potential consequences of several years in prison, hefty fines, and probation. Anderson's charges, on the other hand, include disorderly conduct and disorderly intoxication. Each charge could result in sentences of up to 60 days in jail and fines, as delineated in reports from FOX 35 Orlando.
