Courtney Hale, a former dancer known as Gorgeous Doll, is suing Magic City, a popular Atlanta strip club, for sexual harassment and wage violations, alleging a breach of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Hale claims she was forced to share her tips with the club's DJ, security, and a promoter named "Baller," with fees ranging from $20 to $1,000, as reported by FOX5 Atlanta.
In an interview with FOX5 Atlanta, Hale explained that many dancers are afraid to speak out, but she is advocating for herself because she believes the actions were illegal. She accused "Baller" of demanding $500 per dancer, taking a total of $8,000 from the performers.
Hale also accuses a club manager of sexual harassment, including groping and crude comments, which she says made the work environment intolerable. She further claims Magic City defamed her on X, saying, "This girl does not work here and is crazy AF," in an attempt to discredit her, WSB-TV reported.
Magic City's attorney, Gary Freed, responded by stating that Hale was dismissed for undisclosed reasons and referenced previous cease-and-desist letters sent to her. The club denies all allegations and intends to enforce an arbitration agreement signed by Hale. The case, which follows a failed mediation, is set to go to court.
