Shelby County's judicial proceedings have progressed with the indictment of Tyreese Earnest, a former FedEx employee charged in connection with a shooting incident. As shared by the Shelby County District Attorney's Office through a Facebook post, Earnest faces multiple charges, including attempted second-degree murder and employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony.
The charges originate from an October 30 incident in the FedEx World Hub parking lot, where a FedEx employee was shot multiple times but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Updated affidavits reveal that the incident, initially believed to be accidental, was later determined to have escalated rapidly and was ultimately classified as an ambush.
Alongside Tyreese Earnest in the indictment are brothers Ja’Marion and Ja’Marcus Odell, who have also been implicated in the calculated attack. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the trio in the vicinity of the victim's vehicle at the critical juncture, leading to their arrest shortly after the incident.
