
A tragic blaze in Fort Collins has claimed the life of a pet and left a residence in ruins, according to multiple sources. KDVR reports that the fire, which broke out in the early hours of Wednesday morning, resulted in the destruction of a home and a canine fatality, with Poudre Fire Authority confirming the unfortunate loss and stating that the flames were extinguished by their crews at a manufactured home located at the 2500 block of East Harmony Road.
According to The Coloradoan, the engulfed structure was discovered by firefighters at around 12:32 a.m., with the blaze having spread to an adjacent unit and inflicting damage on three vehicles amidst the chaos, officials worked diligently to contain the situation but despite their efforts the toll was considerable including a person hospitalized in the incident.
Per 9NEWS, there were four individuals inside the residence when the fire ignited: all were able to escape on their own, but one was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, while the community grapples with the aftermath of the disaster.
