Fort Worth has introduced a new ally in the mission to foster a culture of responsible pet ownership among its younger citizens. The city's Animal Care & Control team is toting a brand new initiative titled P.A.W.S. and Think right into classrooms, aiming to enlighten students on the essentials of caring for their furry friends.
The focus here is squarely on empowering the next generation to properly and thoughtfully care for animals. Children are going to be encouraged to actively engage with the subject matter, paws-on experience included. Following an educational presentation by the FWACC staff, students are afforded the chance to cautiously interact with puppies and kittens from City shelters, a move aimed at nurturing kindness and dispelling any nascent fears.
