A car chase in Fort Pierce culminated in the apprehension of four individuals, three of whom are teenagers, and the retrieval of stolen firearms. Yesterday, a white Kia Forte with the four suspects led St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office (SLCSO) detectives on a pursuit through the Sunland Gardens neighborhood after a failed traffic stop, CBS12 reported.

The chase ended near Avenue O and North 33rd Street, where the occupants of the vehicle attempted to escape on foot. One of the suspects was apprehended using a Taser, while the rest were detained without further incidents. Photos of the suspects post-capture were shared by the sheriff's office, but they refrained from identifying individuals within those images. Detectives discovered two Glock handguns, both with extended magazines; one weapon had been reported stolen from Vero Beach, detailed in a statement obtained by SLCSO's Facebook page.

Among the arrestees, Aaron Williams, 18, is charged with Possession of a Firearm by Adjudicated Delinquent and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. Stefon Henry, 19, is facing charges related to firearm possession by a gang-related felon and resisting arrest without violence. Henry is currently out on bond for similar previous charges. Devontre Stevens, 24, has outstanding warrants tied to organized fraud and grand theft aside from charges for fleeing and eluding and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The fourth person, Tamarion Johnson, 19, is facing obstruction of justice charges.

Sheriff Richard Del Toro Jr. praised his department's commitment to public safety, saying, "This is yet another example of our detectives’ dedication to intercepting violent criminal activity. The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office remains fully committed to pursuing and apprehending those who choose to engage in illegal and dangerous behavior," as per the official statement on the SLCSO Facebook page
