Earlier today, a shooting at the Bucket Head Tavern in West Knoxville resulted in injuries to four people, according to the Knoxville Police Department. Responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers discovered three gunshot victims in the tavern's parking lot, as detailed in a statement obtained by WVLT.
Scott Erland, the Communications Manager for the Knoxville Police Department, explained that the three individuals were transported to a local hospital while the fourth victim made their own way, arriving separately at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. In a press release, Erland mentioned that the injuries sustained by the three men and one woman are "non life-threatening," WBIR reports.
The investigation is ongoing as the Knoxville Police Department reviews surveillance footage and other evidence. The current lead indicates that the suspect is a Black man wearing dark clothing and driving a dark-colored sedan, based on the video footage reviewed by authorities. Police are asking anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward and contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers, according to instructions shared by WATE.
