
Travelers at Oklahoma City's Will Rogers International Airport will have the opportunity to enroll in the Global Entry program on April 14 and 15. The enrollment appointments, part of the Department of Homeland Security's trusted traveler program, according to the City of Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City has recently expanded its travel options, including a new international flight to Cancun. The addition of access to Global Entry enrollment is seen as a step forward for the city's travel services. Jeff Mulder, Director of Airports, stated, "With our new international flight to Cancun and more on the horizon, adding access to Global Entry enrollment continues to elevate OKC's travel offerings." This new service is expected to benefit frequent travelers by allowing for expedited re-entry into the U.S., as reported by the City of Oklahoma City.
To enroll in Global Entry, applicants must complete an online application on the Homeland Security website, pay a $120 fee, and wait for conditional approval before scheduling an appointment with an access code. If approved, members receive TSA Precheck benefits and expedited entry at over 75 U.S. airports. Global Entry membership lasts for five years, as stated by the City of Oklahoma City.
