The city's schools, in collaboration with 17STRONG and Spooky Nook Champion Mill, have set two dates this summer for you to indulge in a variety of sports at no cost. According to a recent release, on June 17 and July 15, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, youth are invited to partake in basketball, volleyball, soccer, and more at the largest indoor sports complex in the region.
The initiative, dubbed 'Open Courts,' is a gesture to provide younger members of our community with engaging activities during their school break, and it is open exclusively to City of Hamilton youth. According to an announcement made available by the original publication, organizers stated that no pre-registration is required for attendees; simply show up with enthusiasm to play and bring a water bottle for hydration.
The event, designed to foster community and physical activity among the city's youth, will feature not only sports facilities. Spooky Nook offers additional amenities, including an arcade and a food court, although these are available at an extra cost.
