The Fleetwoods are seeking permission to maintain a detached accessory structure that protrudes into the rear setback on their just under an acre of land.
With a variance required due to its encroachment, the 1,080 square-foot structure sits comfortably on the south side of Summer Breeze Court. Notably, the public is invited to download a map provided by the city to visualize the specific locale, a mere 1,780 feet from the Summer Lane and North Pearson Lane crossroads. The property in question, part of the less densely populated Single-Family 36,000 square-foot lot size or greater (SF-36) zoning, presents an intriguing case to the commission and attendees of the hearing.
The second hearing will consider a request for another Specific Use Permit, this time for Jade Beauty Collective. This medical spa, spearheaded by applicant Jessica Hunter, aims to establish its base in a modestly sized 1,121 square-foot building on 0.18 acres. Placed strategically on the south side of Taylor Street, the property's history is woven into the fabric of Old Town Keller, with its designation within the OTK zone underscoring its significance.
Under the ownership of DBN Properties INC, and situated approximately 165 feet southeast from South Main Street's confluence with Taylor Street, 116 Taylor St. is steeped in local geography. Interested parties can again refer to a detailed map online, provided by the city to gain a clearer understanding of the proposed spa's positioning within the heart of Keller's storied old quarter.
Both cases are set for discussion at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Keller Town Hall, located at 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy. The complete agenda for this gathering of city officials and the public will be available for perusal on April 17.
