Drivers in the city may need to adjust their commutes as roadwork is set to begin on Kimbrough Road. Starting April 18 and continuing through April 21, motorists will encounter single-lane traffic between Dogwood Road and Poplar Avenue due to street repairs and resurfacing. According to the City of Germantown, the area is known for heavy traffic, which may worsen during the construction period.
With message boards soon to be placed to inform the public, the City is urging drivers to plan for delays or find alternate routes, especially during peak travel times. As per the City of Germantown, officials emphasized the importance of cooperation, as this infrastructure work is crucial.
Moreover, additional resurfacing work is slated to occur on westbound Dogwood Road approaching Woodside Drive, scheduled for the week of April 21. The timeline for this additional project suggests that the city is attempting to minimize the impact on daily traffic by conducting roadworks in stages.
