
Early this morning, Rural Metro Fire was called to a scene of devastation in Knoxville, where a home in the 8500 block of Old Rutledge Pike was engulfed in flames. According to a Facebook post by the Rural Metro Fire Department, firefighting crews arrived on the scene around 10:30 a.m. to find the house ablaze with the residents already outside.
While firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading further, the home was heavily damaged. The tragic incident saw ten dogs trapped inside, alive when the fire spread wildly; sadly, only two were rescued. One person from the household was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, trying to cope with the aftermath of the disaster, as reported by the Rural Metro Fire Department.
