A joint effort between law enforcement agencies has culminated in the apprehension of a suspect and the confiscation of significant amounts of narcotics. In the wake of a collaborated investigation, Revere Police's Special Investigation Unit, Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, and the Everett Police Department’s Special Criminal Investigations Unit have seized over 25 grams of Fentanyl and a similar quantity of crack cocaine, as shared on social media by the Revere Police Department.
Jose Luis Herrera Yepez, a 36-year-old resident of Lynn, is now in police custody facing multiple drug-related charges which includes three counts of distribution of Class B substances, specifically crack cocaine, two counts of distribution of Class A substances, involving Fentanyl, and trafficking both Class A and B substances fentanyl and crack cocaine.
Yepez is scheduled for arraignment today at Chelsea District Court, where the consequences of his alleged involvement in peddling these perilous substances will start to unfold, with the criminal justice system attempting to hold him accountable for his role within the complex network that fuels addiction and despair.
