San Francisco's ongoing battle with illegal narcotics sales took a significant turn last night as city law enforcement agencies scored a considerable bust. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), in conjunction with the San Francisco Sheriff's Office (SFSO) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), conducted a Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC) operation across multiple areas within the city, resulting in substantial seizures and arrests.
Details released by the San Francisco Police Department reveal that over 1.15 pounds of narcotics were confiscated as part of the operation. The haul included a variety of substances, namely fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine base, cocaine salt, and heroin. The crackdown has led to the arrest of nine individuals, composed of six adult males, two adult females, and one young male. Each individual has since been booked with charges about the illegal sales of narcotics.
The San Francisco Police Department's statement underscored the collaborative effort in tackling what is described as a drug crisis within San Francisco. "The SFPD would like to thank all of the outside agencies for their assistance, which was instrumental in this operation. We will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by taking wanted suspects off our streets and holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable."
While the operation can be a success, the investigation surrounding these arrests remains open and active. Authorities are contacting the community for additional information to aid the case further. The public can contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or send a text message to TIP411, beginning the message with SFPD.
