Atlanta is investigating a shooting that left a 39-year-old man injured last night. The incident occurred at 230 10th Street NE, where police responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest, as the Atlanta Police Department reports.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was conscious and breathing when emergency responders arrived. He was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Atlanta Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing.
