Medford residents are advised to prepare for a series of traffic adjustments beginning tomorrow as the city undertakes multiple infrastructure maintenance and construction projects. According to an official notice published on the City of Medford’s website, several arterial roads and traffic lanes will experience closures and detours throughout the week.
Among the key impacts, Hillcrest Road will be closed to through traffic from Foothill Road to Urano Lane tomorrow to facilitate the installation of new road markings. This work, to be performed by Hicks Line Striping on behalf of Outlier Construction, will allow only local traffic to travel eastbound between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day.
Additionally, Riverside Avenue will be subject to nighttime closures between E. Barnett Road and Ohio Street from April 7 through April 11. These closures, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., accommodate utility work being conducted by K N L Industries.
Lane closures will also be in effect in various locations. Brown Contracting will be engaged in street maintenance on Summit Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, and S. Orange Street, resulting in lane restrictions and reduced parking availability between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on April 7 and April 11.
Concurrently, Knife River and SAK will conduct asphalt repairs and sewer line rehabilitation. These activities will affect roads such as Springbrook Road, Murphy Road, and Morrison Avenue, with similar traffic disruptions anticipated during the same period.
SAK’s sewer line work will further necessitate lane closures along Delta Waters Road and Crater Lake Avenue. Work hours will vary between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on the specific segment. Littrell Drive will also be impacted by sewer work from April 7 to April 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and parking arrangements to avoid delays associated with the scheduled construction activities. While the disruptions are temporary, they reflect the City’s continued investment in infrastructure enhancements. All work is subject to weather conditions and other unforeseen variables; therefore, residents are encouraged to remain informed through official city updates.
