
A robbery reported by the Memphis Police Department on social media has shaken the local community. The incident occurred last Saturday, as detailed by the Memphis Police Department, a female fell victim to an aggressive robbery whilst strolling along the Bluff Walk between Beale Street and Butler Avenue. The timeframe of the crime was pinpointed between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., after the suspect had followed her from the Peabody Hotel on Union Avenue.
The narrative of the attack, as relayed by the Memphis Police Department, is one of intimidation and theft. The suspect, now identified as Antonio Moore, allegedly blocked the victim's path and made a lethal threat before absconding with her belongings. The suspect was described as a short Black male, possessing a "husky voice" and was last seen heading in the direction of Riverside Drive. His distinctive clothing included an orange ballcap, and a blue jacket, along with dark pants and shoes that were white and black at the time of the encounter.
Following a crucial lead yesterday, the North Main Station Investigators named Antonio Moore as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was promptly issued. Moore, a 35-year-old man, has now been charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery, following his arrest the subsequent day.
According to the Memphis Police Department, the Task Force of the North Main Station was able to locate and detain Antonio Moore in the 1000 Block of McLean Boulevard at approximately 8:48 a.m. today. The decisive action taken by law enforcement to bring the suspect into custody has provided some consolation to city residents rattled by this violent event.
