
The Memphis Police Department is earnestly seeking a suspect following a shooting at Ridgecrest Apartments that wounded a six-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man. The situation unfolded on March 30 at the complex situated on Woodcliff Drive in the Frayser area, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. Authorities found the man and the child at separate locations; the man was discovered in the complex's breezeway while the boy was located on Shady Vista.
Both victims were promptly taken to a hospital and have fortunately been released since the incident. Police have worked to capture the suspect's likeness, having reviewed surveillance footage that caught the adult victim speaking with a man just moments before the shots were fired. The suspect seems to have quickly run from the scene post-shooting, and a photo has been released to the public in an effort to assist in his identification, as mentioned by Action News 5.
Authorities are describing the suspect as a man between 40 to 45 years old, approximately 6'1" in height, and around 200 pounds, as per WREG. As of the latest updates, no arrests have been made in connection with this distressing event, and the Memphis Police continue to actively investigate the matter.
