
Memphis Police are in the midst of a search for two men following a conspicuous theft at Special Things Jewelry on Highway 64. Last Wednesday, the suspects allegedly utilized sleight of hand techniques to swipe jewelry worth almost $30,000 before slipping away undetected, as WREG reports.
The theft was executed with a deft touch according to employees, the men asked to see several pieces of jewelry only to slyly pocket them leaving the establishment without rendering payment, a heist that culminated in a loss valued at $29,632, and yet no arrests have been made to date despite the release of their images this intricate crime underscores an ongoing investigation.
According to a snippet obtained by Action News 5, the pair wandered into the store shortly after 10:30 a.m. last Wednesday morning. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) has encouraged anyone with information to step forward.
The MPD holds hope that someone will recognize these individuals and, alongside the plea from the police, FOX13 Memphis echoes the call for public assistance.
