
In a recent confrontation on Frayser Boulevard, a woman's evening took a violent turn during an attempted carjacking. According to a social media post by the Memphis Police Department, the incident occurred on Tuesday, shortly after 7:00 p.m.
The victim, who was about to depart in her Mercedes E350, was suddenly approached by an armed male. This assailant fired multiple shots at her, prompting the victim to retaliate. She returned fire, causing him to flee the scene. Despite the chaos of gunfire, the suspect was later apprehended by the authorities.
The Memphis Police Department reported that investigators pinpointed a 16-year-old male as the alleged perpetrator of this aggressive attempt at theft and violence. He was located and arrested in the 1600 block of Hugenot Street.
Facing serious charges, the juvenile has been cited with Attempted First-Degree Murder, Attempted Carjacking, Employment of a Firearm During the commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Handgun Possession Prohibited, the latter being all the more severe given his underage status.
