
The Memphis Police Department announced the arrest of 18-year-old Valdemar Patterson in connection with a double homicide. The shooting occurred last Thursday, at 3:02 p.m. at the intersection of Mississippi Boulevard and South Lauderdale Street, where two male victims were found dead at the scene, as reported by the Memphis Police Department.
Homicide investigators identified Patterson as the primary suspect following an extensive investigation. He was arrested last Saturday, and faces First-Degree Murder charges. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is still ongoing, as stated by the Memphis Police Department.
According to the Memphis Police Department on their Facebook page, the motivation behind the shooting and the relationship between the suspect, Patterson, and the victims have not been released.
