An intense manhunt in Milford, Massachusetts, culminated in the arrest of a suspect after a frightful incident involving a knife chase, as announced by the local police department. The perpetrator, Vitor Machado Da Silva, allegedly threatened to "kill" a person and subsequently chased the victim from their residence all the way to the Milford Police Department (MPD) headquarters on April 5, 2025, shortly after midnight.
The victim, in a state of fearful desperation, entered the police lobby to report the incident at a time when the tendrils of night still hoped to cling to the vestiges of the small Massachusetts town. Initially, officers could not locate Machado Da Silva outside MPD. However, they proceeded to thoroughly and methodically search the area using the K-9 and Drone Units, which were promptly deployed at 12:50 AM.
According to the Milford Police Department's social media post, Machado Da Silva was found at around 12:57 AM sitting in the passenger seat of a Blue Toyota Highlander on 309 Main St. He was apprehended without further incident.
Machado now faces a list of charges including "ASSAULT W/DANGEROUS WEAPON," "ASSAULT," and "THREAT TO COMMIT CRIME," as well as being arrested on an existing warrant for previous crimes, as reported by the Milford Police Department.
