Tariff hikes are a real headache for businesses operating internationally, but Minnesota's offering a pain reliever. They've set up Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs), and there's a webinar on the horizon to explain how these designated areas can ease tariff tension and boost your operational efficiency. According to the City of Brooklyn Park, the webinar is slated for April 22 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs) are U.S. areas considered outside U.S. Customs territory for import purposes. Businesses can store, distribute, or manufacture goods with reduced or no duties. The upcoming webinar will cover benefits like duty deferral, reduction, and elimination, as well as how to apply and start using these zones, as per the City of Brooklyn Park.
