After a tense few hours of search efforts, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced that Michael Woodard, the man reported missing yesterday, was found safe later that afternoon. The 37-year-old had been the subject of a public appeal by the sheriff's office, which prompted community members and authorities to look for Woodard, known for several distinctive tattoos including one of the word "Christian" on one arm, "Alexander" on the other, and the image of a Pitbull on his outer calf, as detailed by WVLT.
At around 1:30 PM on Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office turned to the public for assistance through a social media post. It was roughly two and a half hours later that they updated the concerned public with the news that Woodard had been found unharmed. Woodard has been described as a man with red/auburn hair and hazel eyes, standing at approximately 5’8" and weighing around 200 pounds, and was last reported to be driving a silver Nissan Rogue with TN registration plate 1UF516, according to a report by WATE.
