The Colerain Police Department provided a succinct but important update: A family has been reunited. In a brief social media post, the department thanked the community for their help. "This person's family has been located. Thank you for your assistance," read the message on the Colerain Police Facebook page.
Initially, authorities had sought the public's aid to identify an individual found in the vicinity of Pippin Road, and Wenning Road. The man was reported to be safe upon discovery earlier this week. "Our officers located this individual this morning in the area of Pippin Road and Wenning Road. He is safe, but we need assistance identifying him and locating his family," was the appeal made by the police when the situation was first brought to public attention. Residents with any knowledge were urged to reach out to the Colerain Police Department at (513-321-COPS).
The police department has not disclosed further details about the circumstances under which the man was found or how the reunion with the family was facilitated. The focus, now shouldered by collective relief, stands as a testament to the effective role that community and law enforcement can play when working in tandem.
