Drivers in Dallas County should be aware that Missouri Route 64 will be fully closed on Wednesday next week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Niangua River Bridge by Bennett Springs State Park. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced the closure for pipe replacement work beneath the roadway. All lanes in the affected area will be closed during this time.
The Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed that drivers will still have access to driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but through traffic will not be allowed. No signed detour will be provided, and motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes.
The closure is scheduled for one day and during standard work hours. To help inform the public, Missouri Department of Transportation will post updates on its website and use message boards near the area to alert drivers of the closure and direct them toward alternate routes. Motorists are encouraged to check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for current traffic updates and road closure information.
