Residents of North St. Louis County looking to learn more about the upcoming changes to Route AC will have a chance to get their questions answered next month. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced an open-house public meeting for the Route AC (New Halls Ferry Rd.) corridor upgrades project scheduled for May 6 from 4-6 p.m. at Meadows Elementary School, as shared on Missouri Department of Transportation official website.
The improvements, aimed at ensuring a smoother transaction for those navigating this stretch of road from south of I-270 to St. Cyr Rd will include resurfacing the existing roadway and updating the corridor's pedestrian infrastructure to comply with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements, traffic signals are getting an upgrade as well, a step expected to enhance safety and accessibility for all. At the meeting, attendees can drop in at any time to review the project plans, have conversations with members of the Route AC project team, but there won't be a formal presentation they should be ready to ask questions or share concerns directly with the experts on hand.
MoDOT is also encouraging public feedback on the proposed plans. Those who attend can fill out a comment form at the meeting to express their views or later do it online from May 6-20. The comment form will be accessible on MoDOT's Route AC Corridor Upgrades webpage.
