
Montgomery County Police were called to a residence in Chevy Chase where a tragedy unfolded with the discovery of a married couple dead from gunshot wounds, ruling the incident a murder-suicide.
According to a report by WUSA9, the welfare check that led to the grim find happened last Wednesday. The deceased were identified as 61-year-old Kate Simoni Fralin and 63-year-old William Scott Fralin. Their bodies were discovered in the 8500 block of Connecticut Avenue, the presence of a firearm and ammunition near the bodies suggesting the violent narrative that unfolded in what police believe to be their home.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that Kate Fralin's death was a homicide. While the official cause of death for William Fralin is pending, it is being investigated as a suicide, with Montgomery County Department of Police reporting their arrival at the scene took place at around 6:30 p.m. on the day of the incident.
