History enthusiasts and families looking for an educational experience can visit Pennypacker Mills in Montgomery County for its Revolutionary War Weekend on May 17-18. The event will feature a military encampment simulation with reenactors portraying soldiers and civilians from the Revolutionary War era.
According to the Montgomery County release, the event includes Revolutionary War drills, cavalry demonstrations, colonial crafts, and opportunities to meet historical figures like George and Martha Washington on May 17 and Edward "Ned" Hector on May 18. Colonial brewing and blacksmith demonstrations will also take place, along with colonial fife and drum music.
