A 51-year-old motorcyclist met with a serious accident on Otay Center Drive and is currently recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after an alleged hit-and-run incident. The rider was on his 2020 Vento RY motorcycle when he claims a white Jeep collided with him and fled the scene, leaving him injured on the 2400 block of Otay Center Drive in the Otay Mesa neighborhood, reports the San Diego Police Department.
According to the SDPD's press release sent via email, the collision that took place at approximately 1:14 PM yesterday resulted in the motorcyclist suffering a fractured ankle and a dislocated shoulder. Authorities indicate that the incident impacted the motorcyclist and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. Whether the driver of a white Jeep was under the influence is not presently known, and police have not determined fault at this time. The investigation is in the hands of the San Diego Police Department's Traffic Division.
