Nashville police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man captured on surveillance footage engaging in an act of theft at a McDonald's on McGavock Pike, where the Ronald McDonald House donation box was forcefully removed from its perch at the counter. The incident, which occurred back in February, has only recently come to light following a social media post from the Metro Nashville Police Department. According to their tweet, the amount of money lost during the theft remains unknown.
The post by MNPD Nashville depicts an image of the suspect whose disregard for the charity-driven receptacle designed to aid families with sick children has led to a ripple of concern amongst community members; many are outraged by the bold nature of the crime yet, it's the silent plea echoed by the empty space on the counter that speaks volumes about the loss.
