New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in a theft by fraud incident that unfolded last month. The alleged incident, highlighted by NOPD News, involved a suspect illegally withdrawing over $3,000 from a victim's bank account using a stolen debit card. The suspect's swift fingers moved through the victim's savings, leaving a financial wound in a trail of betrayal and deceit.
According to the report, the theft took place on March 15, and the suspect was found in possession of not only the victim's debit card but also their Alaska driver's license. With these items, police say the suspect was able to impersonate the victim and complete the fraudulent transactions.
The New Orleans Police have released an image of the suspect in hopes that someone will recognize the individual and provide information. Anyone with knowledge of the crime or the suspect's identity is encouraged to contact Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080.
