The NYPD is currently searching for an individual connected to a commercial burglary in the Bronx. According to a social media post from the NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred last Sunday at about 4:16 a.m. The unidentified suspect is said to have forced entry into a business located at 873 East Tremont Avenue, using a screwdriver to pry open the front door.
Upon gaining entry to the establishment, the perpetrator proceeded to remove property. While specific details of what was taken have not yet been released. The NYPD 48th Precinct, which covers the area where the burglary took place, has been working to investigate the event and locate the suspect
In an effort to encourage witnesses or persons with information to come forward, a reward of up to $3,500 is being offered. Individuals with any leads are encouraged to contact the NYPD via their confidential hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
