The New York Police Department is urgently seeking information on an assault that took place in the Bronx earlier this month. According to a social media post  from NYPD Crimestoppers, the attack occurred on April 7, around 3:40 p.m., at the intersection of East 176 Street and Belmont Avenue, within the 48 Precinct's jurisdiction. A 41-year-old man found himself at the receiving end of several bullets, which left him with injuries to the back of his head and armpit.

The unidentified suspect approached the male victim and discharged a firearm, striking the 41-year-old, who is currently recovering from his injuries. Details about the shooter remain limited as the investigation continues.

The NYPD has requested that anyone with information regarding the incident contact authorities. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that may assist in identifying or locating the suspect. NYPD Crimestoppers has asked individuals to contact them at 1-800-577-TIPS.
