
Yesterday, a three-alarm fire broke out in a warehouse situated in the 600 block of 9th Street in Oakland. According to a social media post by the Oakland Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the scene following a call received at 8:39 am reporting the fire.

The incident, which commanded a swift and strategic response from the fire department, was brought under control by 9:03 am, with no injuries reported. Frank Tijiboy, Battalion Chief, confirmed that the owner of the warehouse was present and collaborating with the fire investigator immediately following the incident, preventing damage, according to the fire department, in a blazing effort.
Adjacent to the warehouse, multiple residences and a house of worship stood vulnerable to the encroaching flames. Crew members were lauded for their adept containment of the fire, which could have resulted in significant damage and displacement.
