Malik Jashun Wilson, 21, was shot and killed on Wednesday around 9 p.m. at an apartment complex near Northwest 16th Street and North Classen Boulevard in Oklahoma City. Police said he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not identified a suspect, and details about the shooter’s escape or the number of people involved are unknown, according to News 9.
The deadly shooting, which took place outside the apartment complex, was confirmed by multiple 911 calls from people who reported hearing gunshots in the area. When police arrived, they found Wilson and attempted to render aid before he was pronounced dead at a local hospital, as per KOCO.
Oklahoma City police are continuing their investigation as no arrests have been made at this time. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Tip Line. "Not sure on the number of suspects yet, like I said, there were people outside so we’re still trying to piece together witness statements and other things to conclude what kind of suspect information we may have," Oklahoma City Police Department said in a statement to KFOR.
